Ined Holmes Jr. a 46 year old man in Jackson, Tennessee, has been arrested for tying a litter of puppies into a plastic bag and throwing the bag into a dumpster behind a business. Video surveillance around the business captured Holmes’s act on film, and that led to his arrest. There were eight puppies who had been thrown away, and they were only days old at the time.
Amazingly, all of them survived and have been reunited with their mother, Diamond, who herself was found chained up in Holmes’s back yard. Diamond and her puppies are now being cared for by Companion Pet Rescue. Holmes, meanwhile, has been charged with eight counts of aggravated animal cruelty.
He’s been released from custody on bond, but he will return to court on May 5th for trial. We all hope that Diamond and her puppies continue to do well and find a loving home.
