Bonedigger, a 500-pound lion, lives at the G.W. Exotic Animal Park in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Every male lion needs a pride, and Bonedigger has one, it just happens to be made up of Dachshunds! Bonedigger met Milo and three other Dachshunds when he was only 4-weeks old. Bonedigger has a metabolic disease and is mildly disabled. But Milo and his friends don’t seem to care – they love him!
Joe Schreibvogel from the park said the dogs appear protective of Bonedigger! Bonedigger gets visibly upset when his pride (of dogs) is separated from him! Milo loves to clean Bonedigger’s teeth and will sometimes imitate Bonedigger’s roars! Wow, Bonedigger’s tongue is as big as Milo’s head! Good kitty!
Once again mother nature is putting us humans to shame – these animals are not naturally supposed to get along, and yet here they are living together and sharing their lives – we humans can learn a lot from animals! Share this story with your pet lovers!
