Miami, Florida – Clifford Herbert, a 60-year-old homeless man, has passed throught difficult situations. In 2006 when he was 50, he suffered a massive heart attack that left him unable to pay his mortgage and other bills, so he became homeless after years of hard work.
The financial crisis of 2008 made finding a job, very difficult for him. But Herbert was diagnosed with cancer when he was recovering from his heart attack.
Along the way he met a pit bull pup named Baby, that he rescued from an abusive situation.
They have been inseparable for years and they spent every single night together. Herbert spent all the money he got, to make sure Baby had the access to treatments.
Unfortunately, after X-rays and blood work, doctors gave him some bad news. Herbert had terminal cancer and was given just 6 weeks to live.
A good samaritan named Jenine-Lacette DShazer heard this story and decided to step up to help.
