Most people who have adopted a dog from a shelter know that it can take some time for a new pup to become fully acclimated to their new life in a new home. For a senior pup named Wally, he wasn’t giving any chance of such an acclimation period. Instead, he was brought back to the Carson Animal Services, in Gardena, California where his life is at stake all over again.
Just last week, people who worked diligently on behalf of Wally on social media were more than elated when he finally found a new forever home. However today, joy was transformed to tears as they cope with a new reality for a pup who might not be so lucky this time around.
Facebook advocacy group Saving Carson Dogs said,
“Not safe they returned him in less than an hour because they felt he was too upset about leaving the shelter. Please share he needs help now.”
A Petharbor listing for Wally reads,
“My name is Wally and I am described as a neutered male, brown and white Pit Bull Terrier. The shelter thinks I am about 9 years old. I have been at the shelter since Nov 05, 2016.”
Wally is understandably heartbroken by his latest betrayal. Things seemed in the bag for him until he was let down yet again. The Carson Animal Services is no place for a dog as sweet and kind asWally, and we can change that.
If you or someone you know is interested in giving Wally the forever home he rightfully deserves, please contact the Los Angeles County Animal Control – Carson at (310) 523-9566 and reference the shelter ID #A5009437.
Additionally, please share this story on Facebook or Twitter, so we are closer to finding Wally the forever home he rightfully deserves. We have done it before and can certainly do it again.
