Reward Offered After Yet Another Dog Found With Taped Muzzle

The taping of a dog’s mouth to muzzle him is a disgusting practice that is becoming increasingly common in many different places. Authorities are just now starting to do something about this.

A young dog was found with his mouth muzzled by silver duct tape near Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst, New York just this past Saturday morning.

The police received a tip about this dog, a German Shepherd, on social media and went out to find him. The German Shepherd, who is somewhere between two and three years old, has been taken to Babylon Animal Shelter.

This is not an isolated incident, sadly, and the police are now being forced to take cases like these with a little more gravity than before now.

A $2,000 reward has now been offered to someone who can give the police information that leads to the arrest of whoever has done this to the poor German Shepherd. Anyone who has information about this dog, or this case, is requested to contact the Suffolk County SPCA at 631-382-7722; callers do have the option to remain anonymous.
