The Humane Society found Duffy in deplorable conditions and in very bad shape. It was unclear if he’d ever recover.
“When we first met Duffy, he was slumped on the floor of a dark and dingy room in a puppy mill. His fur was matted, and he was unable to walk,” the animal protection organization writes on YouTube.
It even appeared to be difficult for him to wag his tail, making it hard to imagine that he’d ever be chipper again. But, with some tender loving care from the Humane Society, he was able to make a remarkable recovery, much like the dog who was rescued after being buried alive.
“Now, he’s living in a home filled with the compassion he craved when he first reached a paw out to his rescuer,” the Humane Society adds.
In reply to a viewer, the Humane Society also shared an update: “He has continued to make progress from when the video was taken and is very mobile and playful.”
