This adorable pup named Walter was only 5 weeks old when he was dropped off at the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA in December of 2015. It was while he was living with a foster family that they discovered Walter was deaf.
Unfortunately, deaf dogs have a much harder time being adopted, even if they are just as smart and easy to train as any other dog.
Fortunately for Walter, about a month after being brought to the shelter, he was adopted by his forever family – and Julia, his new human sister, just might understand him a little better than most.
You see, Julia is deaf too, and because of their unique similarity she’s formed a very special bond with Walter.
Not only does she absolutely love her adorable new puppy, but she’s also training him and communicating with him by teaching him sign language.
