Around 7pm on May 31, police officers received a call about a distressed dog locked in a car in a mall parking lot in Buford, Georgia. According to the caller, the dog had been panting and loudly crying. The temperature outside was 90 degrees.
When officers arrived, they could smell marijuana coming from the black BMW, as the windows were rolled down two inches, as well as hear the pup, named Coco, panting and crying.
Officers quickly broke open the window and took the tiny puppy into an air conditioned patrol car. Coco was so exhausted from her ordeal that she immediately curled up and cuddled one of the officers.
